Trail Builders ...The Chain Gang!

This strong-backed volunteer team gang-forges new trails using fire rakes, picks, and loppers. It's excellent exercise at your own pace. Join the gang for any amount of time, an hour or two or a full day. No regular commitment or experience is required.

Trail building happens all year long. Usually, it's only one day a week, often on Wednesdays. Tools are provided by the Parks & Recreation Department. Gloves, work boots or hiking boots are highly recommended!

Trail Friends

Tellico Village Trail Friends adopt and maintain trails or sections, keeping them clean and handling minor repairs.

If any major issues arise, like a fallen tree or water damage, they can simply contact the Trail Builders for help. You don't need to be a Trail Builder to be a Trail Friend; the physical effort required is much less than that of the Trail Builder member.

Trail Ambassadors

We need Trail Ambassadors to ...

• Spread the word about our amazing trail system

• Develop sponsors, private and commercial

• Build benches

• Provide and deliver refreshments to bolster our hardworking Trail Builders!

• Plan and conduct outreach events

• Generate updated trail maps with possible inclusion of trails into Google maps

• Suggest trail improvements & suggestions
